I think it depends as 9605.1 is not all OEM version of the audio drivers either so it is helpful for those who requires drivers the 9605.1 doesn't already support as it also does not list what versions of Software Components were included.

From this point you are right, but the download included only the Realtek Audio Service, so the other components were missing.

Cheers
Tom

eventually the Realtek Audio Universal Service 1.0.671.0 driver will show up on the Microsoft Update Catalog site (around either end of 2023 or early 2024) or may be offered thru Windows Update for select PCs, so it will be pointless by then.

What number driver need for Realtek ALC4080 Codec (m/b MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI)?
On MSI site for my MB Realtek HD Universal Driver 6.3.9600.2353 (2023-03-22).
Need install from site or newer?

@pumy

install the full 6.3.9600.2353 driver package from the MSI web site (which is actually a Realtek USB Audio driver, not a standard Realtek HD Universal driver as incorrectly stated by MSI).
after installation of full 6.3.9600.2353 driver and a reboot, update the 6.3.9600.2353 codec driver to the 6.3.9600.2369 version from MS Update

Trying to get audio working on an Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 running Windows 11.
Have installed the HDA driver 6.0.9239 but still not working - codec reporting as ALC892.
Does anyone have any ideas?

@leftygardner

install the original Realtek audio drivers from the Asus support site (it's ok if they're very old versions as long as those provided old versions of the audio drivers work better than the new versions) if the 6.0.9239.1 HDA driver does not work correctly for your Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 board (which that board is discontinued by Asus but still will provide existing driver downloads and won't get new driver downloads)

I tried it on 2 Windows 11 computers with HDA Motherboards at home.  I think the results are very good.  I was satisfied with both the sound effect and the bass and treble quality. However, I installed it anyway despite the warning that it was not compatible with one of the HDA motherboards.  There is no problem.  I'm using it now.  Of course, I don't know what the situation is with other HDA Motherboards.

Hello
I want to ask if anyone has tried the new HDA FF00 6.0.9326.1 driver (Realtek HD X-Fi) and if anyone have been able to compare whether it has better or worse sound than the HDA FF00 6.0.9239.1 WHQL driver.
Has anyone with a good ear tested it?

Thank you

do realize that the 6.0.9326.1 HDA FF00 driver is digitally signed by Realtek only and did not get a Microsoft certification (that is why 9326 FF00 is non-WHQL)
it is normal to see this Prompt as seen in the pic below when installing the 6.0.9326.1 HDA FF00 driver

I even installed this on my brother's old Sony Vaio mid-2011 laptop running 64bit Windows 7 and on my late father's Toshiba Satellite 2023 laptop running 64bit Windows 8.1 and they work without problems.
